What is energy and what is the monthly free credit?
Energy is the cloud credit system that allows you to pay for SpacetimeDB Cloud services, like using Maincloud. You can purchase credits at spacetimedb.com/account/buy-energy. The monthly free credit is the amount of energy you can use on your account per month before needing to buy energy. The rewards in the Space Race referral program permanently increase your monthly free credit.
Do both the referrer and referee get the reward?
Both the referrer and referee get the referral signup reward of 2,500 TeV. However, only the referrer gets the bonus when the referee upgrades to Pro. For example, if you refer someone, you both get a 2,500 TeV increase to your monthly free credit. When the person you referred upgrades to Pro, you get an additional 22,500 TeV, but the referee does not receive any additional reward.
What happens if I downgrade from Pro after earning more than 100,000 TeV?
You get to keep your rewards. The rewards are a permanent change to your account. However, you will no longer receive further rewards for referring new users since you are above the cap for free tier accounts.
What happens if the referee downgrades from Pro?
You will be awarded once the referee has paid for a full month. At that point, your rewards are permanent, so even if they later downgrade, you will keep the 22,500 TeV bonus.
